Tuesday, 25th Nov 2014, 6:55 PM IST The relations between Anees Bazmee and production house Viacom 18 had soured due to a legal controversy post ‘Welcome’ (2007). However, the two have reconciled, courtesy John Abraham.
After the actor played mediator between the two, Bazmee and Viacom 18 decided to collaborate for a film with John Abraham in the lead.
Talking about the venture, Anees mentioned that this was solely John's initiative to approach the production house, fix a meeting with them, finalise the budget, etc, for their next venture. Apparently, they have even started the recce. About the script, Anees revealed that he had discussed it with John who loved the script so much that he decided to go ahead with it without any ado.
On the alleged issue with the production house, Anees clarified that though his project with the production house, after ‘Welcome’, failed to take off, there has been no animosity between them.
The casting details and the title of this film are yet to be finalized. Moreover, Anees and Viacom 18 are still contemplating on whether the filmmaker will only direct it or will he co-produce the film.
