Tuesday, 27th Jan 2015, 1:07 PM IST Music Director: Jeet Ganguly, Bobby-Imran, Naved Jafar, Ankit Tiwari Lyricist: Rashmi Singh, Sayeed Quadri, Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay ‘Khamoshiyan’ starring Gurmeet Choudhary, Alia Fazal and Sapna Pabbi is all set to hit the screens on 30th Jan. The music of the film is composed by Jeet Ganguly, Bobby-Imran, Naved Jafar and Ankit Tiwari. As it’s a Bhatt camp film the expectations from the music are high. First song in the album is the title track ‘Khamoshiyan’. Composed by Jeet Ganguly the track is soulful number with the melodious voice of Arijit Singh. Singh’s vocal impresses us a lot in the song. There is also an unplugged version of the track which is quite good. Ratings: 3.5/5 Next comes in ‘Tu Har Lamha’ one more romantic number. Bobby-Imran has composed the music of the track and Arijit Singh has sung it. It’s a nice track but not better than the previous one. There is also a remix version of this song and it’s strictly okay. Ratings: 2.5/5 ‘Baatein Ye Kabhi Na’ next track in the album is an amazing number. Well, this is also a romantic number and Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics are fantastic in this song. This song too is sung by Arijit Singh; though he is alright, there are chances you might feel bored listening to him yet again. Some other singer could have been a better choice. The female version of this song sung by Palak Muchhal is okay. Ratings: 2.5/5 Moving forward we get ‘Kya Khoya’. The music of the song is very contemporary and different from the previous songs in the album. Naved Jafar has composed and sung the song well. It’s a unique track and impresses us a lot. Ratings: 3.5/5 Next comes in Prakriti Kakkar with her seductive voice in the song ‘Bheeg Loon’. It’s a very seductive number and Prakriti’s voice takes the song to a higher level. The male version sung by Ankit Tiwari is quite average. The remix version of this song is nice. Ratings: 3/5 And the last song in album is ‘Subhan Allah’. It’s an average number and just another version of ‘Tu Har Lamha’. The hook phrase ‘Tu Har Lamha’ has been changed to ‘Subhan Allah’. Anupam Amod and Imran Ali have sung the song well. Ratings: 2/5 On the whole, the music album of ‘Khamoshiyan’ is a decent package of romantic numbers and it’s strictly for the people who like to hear romantic tracks.
