Tuesday, 27th Jan 2015, 1:59 PM IST Music Director: Rochak Kohli, Mangesh Dhakde, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vishal Bhardwaj Lyricist: Vibhu Puri, Mirza Ghalib Vibhu Puri’s ‘Hawaizaada’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Pallavi Sharda will be releasing on 30th Jan. The movie is a biopic of Shivkar Bapuji Talpade who made the first plane. The music of the film is out and since it’s a period film we can expect some vintage kind of music. The album starts with the song ‘Hawaizaada Dil’. Music composer Rochak Kohli tried to make a song on the lines of Kishore Kumar style, but he fails badly. The song is not at all entertaining and Rochak also fails to impress us with his voice. Ratings: 1/5 ‘Daak Ticket’, the next song is an inspirational song and after a bad start finally the second song succeeds in impressing us. The lyrics of the song are inspirational. Javed Bashir and Mohit Chauhan’s vocals are superb in the song. Ratings: 3.5/5 Then comes in ‘Maaza My Lord’, a funky romantic number. Mangesh Dhakde also tries to get a song which can take us to the swinging 70’s. But, he too fails in it. Voices of Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan don’t really help the song. Ratings: 1/5 Moving forward, we get a beautiful romantic track ‘Dil E Naadan’. Ayushmann has composed and sung the track very well, as always. The lyrics written by Mirza Ghalib are surely amazing. The reprise version of the song is also quite good. Ratings: 3/5 The next song in the album is ‘Udd Jayega’. It’s a nice track and finally the music composer Mangesh Dhadke doesn’t try vintage music here. Sukhvinder Singh and Ranadeep Bhasker have done a good job with their voices in the song. Ratings: 2.5/5 ‘Dil Todne Ki Masheen’ is the next a song in the album. With a touch of Marathi folk music in this track, Vishal Bhardwaj gets a lavani song perfectly. And Rekha Bhardwaj’s voice is top notch in the song. This is surely one of the best tracks of the album. Ratings: 3.5/5 Moving forward we get a song titled ‘Yaadien Gatthri Mein’ which is just another version of ‘Udd Jayega’. It’s a nice track and Harshdeep Kaur has sung it well. Ratings: 2/5 And once again, Rochak Kohli tries to come up with a song with the vintage feeling. The song titled as ‘Turram Khan’ is an irritating song. Kohli proves that he just wants to copy Kishore Kumar, but every time he fails badly. Papon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Monali Thakur’s vocals are also wasted. Ratings: 0.5/5 Finally, the album ends with a decent song ‘Teri Dua’. It’s a qawwali number and Wadali Brothers, Lakhwinder Wadali, Harshdeep Kaur, Ravindra Sathe, Ranadeep Bhasker and Sukhwinder Singh have sung the song very well. Ratings: 2.5/5 On the whole, ‘Hawaizaada’ fails to impress us with the music. Music composers have tried to come up with a vintage kind of music, but they badly fail.
