Thursday, 29th Jan 2015, 3:24 PM IST Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’ has landed into a legal trouble. An Imam from Srinagar has claimed that his footage of doing the nikah of Tabu and Kay Kay Menon has been used in the film. He was told that it will be used for educational purpose. The Imam, Ghulam Hassan Shah of Kund said, “I was told that the footage featuring me will be used for educational purposes but it was used in the film instead." He says that because of the footage he has lost his job. And now, he is demanding 50 lakh rupees in compensation or an apology in national press. The legal notice states, "You induced my client to get screened while conducting a Nikah on the assurance that it will be used for educational purposes but you intended to utilise the footage in your movie ‘Haider’ which to say the least is obnoxious. The footage has not defamed my client and lowered his dignity, status and respect among members of the society."
