The actress recently stated that her next film will be releasing in 2016. Kajol said, "My film will release in 2016. The film we are doing right now, under our production banner, will roll out in July-August. So we start shooting that time. Its not Ram Madhwani's film. That did not work out. This is a very different story. It is not a remake. It is an original script. I cannot tell you much about it right now." When the actress was asked about doing a movie with Shahrukh Khan, she said, "It's always been fantastic working with Shah Rukh. There's a certain comfort level with him and I cannot work with people who I'm not comfortable with. So I hope we work soon. Let's see.” When she was asked about doing Rohit Shetty’s next with SRK, she said, "I am not in a position to accept or deny it. So let's see."
