HIMMATWALA Remained Average On Day One
"Himmatwala" released today with negative buzz on social networks with all critics mocking the film. But then there is world outside where single screen audience will whistle on every desi move and dialogue-baazi.
To be fair film did not do badly on day one but due to hyperbole statements of director and team it might not look up to the mark. With 3000 plus screens and heavy marketing, anything less than 15 cr will be not so satisfactory.
To put things in right perspective, film will be huge in single screens but multiplex audience will not give it much chance. Now audience as well as trade experts should realize that not all films will do well across the demographic and geographic. If urban areas of Delhi and Mumbai were below average then single screens in CP, UP and Bihar were fantastic but West Bengal and Mysore were poor.
Film should collect 12.75 cr nett on day one as per early estimates and this figure can finish higher if Delhi belt shows improvement. Now tomorrow holds the key as film has to touch 14-15 cr nett in order to touch 43 cr nett over the weekend of last Sajid Khan's release "Housefull 2".
At the moment it is certain that film will be the biggest opener for Ajay Devgn but will it be the biggest grosser that will be answered in days to come.
