Tuesday, 2nd Feb 2016, 3:13 PM IST Music Composer: Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly, Amaal Mallik, Epic Bhangra Lyricists: Rashmi Virag, Mithoon, Manoj Muntashir, Manoj Yadav, Ikka Singh, Kumaar Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Sanam Re’ which stars Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela in the lead roles will be releasing on 12th Feb. The director’s last release ‘Yaariyaan’ had some really good songs and the music of ‘Sanam Re’ is out. So, let’s see what’s there in store for us. The album starts with the title track ‘Sanam Re’. It’s a wonderful romantic number composed by Mithoon. The song succeeds in making us feel the romance around us. The lyrics written by Mithoon are also impressive. However, above all is the voice of Arijit Singh. His voice makes this song a brilliant listening experience. Ratings: 4/5 The next song is ‘Gazab Ka Hai Yeh Din’. This one is a sweet number with soulful, but a bit high-on energy beats. Amaal Mallik’s music and Manoj Muntashir’s lyrics present us a nice number. But, like the previous track, in this song too the show stealer is Arijit’s voice. Ratings: 3/5 Moving forward we hear the song titled ‘Hua Hain Aaj Pehli Baar’. Composed by Amaal Mallik the song touches our hearts thanks to the beautiful lyrics written by Manoj Yadav. It is sung by Amaal Mallik, Armaan Malik and Palak Muchhal, and all three singers have done justice to the song with their amazing voices. Ratings: 3.5/5 Next comes in ‘Humne Pee Rakhi Hai’, a high-on tempo number which irritates us a lot. After so many beautiful romantic tracks, this party number which is composed by Epic Bhangra is disappointing. Vocals of Jaz Dhami, Neha Kakkar and Ikka Singh too fail to save the song. Ratings: 1/5 The next song in the album is ‘Kya Tujhe Ab Ye Dil Bataye’, a heart-touching romantic number which touches the right chords. Amaal Mallik once again impresses us with his music and Falak Shabir has sung the track exceptionally. Would like to compliment Manoj Muntashir for writing such beautiful lyrics. Ratings: 3/5 Next comes in ‘Tere Liye’, strictly an okay number composed by Mithoon and sung by Ankit Tiwari and Mithoon. The song fails to impress us. However, the lyrics of the track written by Mithoon are impressive. Ratings: 2/5 ‘Tum Bin’, the next track in the album impresses us as soon as it starts, all thanks to Shreya Ghoshal’s melodious voice. The song is can be called as a new version of the title track of the movie ‘Tum Bin’ which had released in 2001. Jeet Ganguly has recreated the beats and Rashmi Virag has come up with new lyrics. But, it’s Shreya’s voice which makes the track the best song of the album. Ratings: 5/5 And the last song in the album is ‘Chhote Chhote Tamashe’. It’s a cute lively number composed by Jeet Ganguly and this adorable song is perfectly sung by Shaan, and must say, his voice suits the track. Ratings: 3/5 Overall, the music album of ‘Sanam Re’ has some really good romantic tracks. Ratings:3.5/5 Music Review By –
