But even this year started on sluggish note during 1st quarter but then in last two months 'Piku' and 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' had turned the tide. 'Roy' scored at box office in overseas due to presence of Ranbir Kapoor and collected 0.9 million $ over weekend. Tevar was 1st film to cross 1 million $ mark over weekend in 2015 in overseas market. Then Akshay Kumar starrers 'Baby' and 'Gabbar Is Back' crossed 1.23 million $ and 1.48 million $ over weekend in overseas market. 'Piku' surprised all with roaring biz in India and film was a surprise in overseas market too. Film was first in 2015 to cross 2 million $ mark over weekend with 2.10 million $ total. But then came the biggest surprise, 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' which crossed 2.5 million $ over weekend in overseas market. Film was outstanding in all the circuits. 'Dil Dhadakane Do' was expected to open big overseas due to ensemble cast and urban theme. Film collected 3.50 million $ over weekend which was best number in 2015. 'ABCD 2' collected best numbers in 2015 in domestic market but film was just good in overseas with 1.43 million $ weekend which was 5th best of 2015. But Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' became biggest opener for super star with 8 million $ (50.89 cr) weekend in overseas. This was by far the biggest opener in 2015. Big release 'Brothers' collected 2.41 million $ over weekend which was 4th best of 2015 and highest ever for Askhay Kumar and Siddharth Malhotra. Saif and Katrina starrer 'Phantom' collected 1 million $ (6.62 cr) over weekend which was 10th best in 2015. 'Welcome Back' surprised all and collected 3.21 million $ (21.38 cr) over weekend which was 3rd best in 2015.
