Friday, 31st Oct 2014, 7:10 PM IST Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal, who made his debut with ‘Madhosh’ in 1994 and was later seen with Aamir in ‘Mela’ (2000), is returning to films after nine long years. He was last seen in ‘Chand Bujh Gaya’ (2005).
Talking about Faisal, who has now changed his spelling to Faissal, an industry insider said, “Faissal’s comeback film titled ‘Chinar —Daastaan-E-Ishq’ also shares certain similarities with the Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider’. ‘Chinar — Daastaan-E-Ishq’ is based on a very popular Urdu novelist Khwaja Farooq Ranzu Shah’s ‘Jheel Jalti Hai’. Like ‘Haider’, this film too will be shot in Kashmir and is also inspired by ‘Hamlet’ to some extent.”
