Vidya Balan is outstanding, Arjun Rampal packs a punch, very well shot, impressive background score.
Not so great script, too many loopholes in plot, slow paced
Watch it for superb performances and dialogues
Sujoy Ghosh redeemed himself with 1st installment of this film after many flops. Now he is back with sequel of sleeper hit thriller.
Set in Paris, Befikre is a free spirited, contemporary love story of Dharam (Ranveer Singh) and Shyra (Vaani Kapoor), who find love in an impulsive, engaging series of experiences. Doused in the spirit of Paris, it celebrates love- sensual, carefree and focused on living life to the fullest. Dharam plays a comedian and Shyra plays a professional tour guide. They meet in the city of love and the story starts.
Film is tight and superb in terms of technical aspects but it lacks in terms of suspense and novelty.
Performance wise film belongs to Vidya Balan as she does not put a single foot wrong. Arjun Rampal is intense and ideal fit to the role.Once again impressive supporting cast adds a lot to the film.
Story lacks punch and screenplay is just good. Suspense might not satisfy masses.
Editing is top notch and film is shot extremely well.Costumes are tacky but background score is excellent. Sujoy Ghosh has directed another well made thriller but it lacks the brilliance of first part.
Film released today and should open well. Film will need positive word of mouth to score in long run as opening will not be mammoth.
Go watch this one for performances!
