Monday, 12th August 11:40 PM IST CHENNAI EXPRESS Continues To Tumble Records, Scores Highest Non Holiday Ever "Chennai Express" has surpassed every possible record over the weekend and despite such an earth shattering weekend, film managed to hold well on Monday. Film was slow off the block in the morning as expected but started performing well from evening onwards. Film was particularly strong in Mumbai, Gujarat, CI, CP and Bihar. Film looks to stay here for few weeks. As per early estimates, film should collect 14.50 cr nett on Monday taking 4 day total to 114.93 cr nett. Thus film has eclipsed best non holiday Monday record of 12.50 - 13 cr nett of YJHD. This is 5th straight record including paid previews for the film which is unimaginable. Film should now close on 150 cr nett week one even if further drops in next days. Overseas figure also looking to round up around 75 cr after week one.
