Friday, 5th September 11:30 AM IST MARDAANI Crosses 31 Cr Nett In Two Weeks Rani Mukherjee starrer 'Mardaani' released last weekend along with few small films and Hollywood films. Film was backed by YRF and that is why it had good visible release and decent marketing push. Film scored good week one and is heading for decent weekend in week two. Though sadly film opened to poor numbers on Friday. But then film improved form somewhat positive word of mouth and reviews. Film managed quite decent 23 cr nett week but it is not great or on the lines of sleeper hits like 'Queen' and 'Kahaani'. Film faced huge competition in form of 'Raja Natwarlal' on 2nd Friday and also huge reduction in screen size. Film managed around 1.41 cr nett on day 8. 1st Friday was low in itself and drop is 70% on 2nd Friday which is again poor. But disappointing performance of 'Raja Natwarlal' has given film a chance at box office. Film jumped big on 2nd Saturday and collected 1.66 cr nett. Film added 2.18 cr nett on Sunday which was good jump. Film has collected 5.25 cr nett in 2nd weekend. Film added 80 lakhs nett on 2nd Monday, 73 lakhs nett on Tuesday, 70 lakhs nett on Wednesday and 71 lakh nett on Thursday. Film has total of 31.16 cr nett in 14 days. Film has collected 7.69 cr nett week two which is decent but not great considering tax free status and no competition. Film will maximum go upto 32 -33 cr nett lifetime which is above average/semi hit but not a clean hit as few would have hoped especially ''fake buzz creators'' in pockets of south Mumbai, south Delhi and other elite areas. Film has budget of close to 20 cr and it needs business of 40 cr nett as it will not fetch much from satellite rights and music rights. Below are the collections for the film -
