But even this year has started on sluggish note and not a single film has got clean hit status yet. 'Roy' scored at box office on its opening day as film collected 10 cr nett plus though it dropped badly later. 'Tevar' opened well but it had same fate later on. 'Baby' trended well but had rather average day one of 9.30 cr nett. 'Badlapur' had rather good opening day at 7 cr nett which is 4th best as of now. This was good considering adult content and makeover of Varun Dhawan. 'NH 10' opened to good numbers and collected 3.35 cr nett on opening day. 'Shamitabh' collected 3.50 cr nett on day one and 'Dolly Ki Doli' had 2.55 cr nett opening day. 'Ek Paheli Leela' opened to 5.30 cr nett on opening day which is 5th best in 2015. Emraan Hashmi delivered another disappointing film Mr X with poor opening day numbers of 4.50 cr nett which was 6th best in 2015. But silver-lining of box office finally came with Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gabbar Is Back' which collected 13.05 cr nett on opening day. 'Piku' collected 5.32 cr nett on opening day which was 6th best of 2015. 'Bombay Velvet' opened to bad reviews and pathetic numbers of 5.20 cr nett on opening day. Kangana Ranaut scored with another gem of the film as 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' collected 4th best opening day of 2015 with 8.75 cr nett. Multistarrer 'Dil Dhadakane Do' had 2nd best opening of 2015 with 10.53 cr nett on opening day. But then came Varun Dhawan starrer 'ABCD 2' and that tops the opening day of 2015 by some margin with 14.30 cr nett. Film found acceptance across the country which speaks about stardom of lead hero and this totla could had been close to 15.50 if rain did not play spoil sport in Mumbai.
