DHONI Croses 109 Cr Nett After 2nd Weekrnd
Probably one of the best directors of our times Neeraj Pandey directs biopic on the life of most iconic figure of Indian cricket, M S Dhoni. Film has Sushant Singh Rajput in dream title role and as predicted by us, film has opened to huge numbers despite no big cast or hit music.
Film released in 4000 plus screens with 1000 screens in overseas. Film opened to 50% numbers on day one morning which was superb. Film was strong in single screens as well as in urban plexes. Dhoni brand has worked big way for the film and has given it huge opening. Except north, film was a phenomenon all over. Film collected huge 21.30 cr nett on opening day which was 2nd best of the year and 15th best of all time.
Film continued to remain strong on 2nd day with minimal drop in central region. Film lost some numbers due to festivities of first day of Navratri. Film collected 20.60 cr net ton 2nd day which means 41.90 cr nett total in two days. Film will cross 63 cr nett over weekend and now weekday will decide how far film will go. Film managed to grow on Sunday with 24.10 cr nett figure.
After 66 cr nett weekend, film had decent Monday with 8.51 cr nett which was 60% drop though it was inevitable after such huge opening. Film dropped on weekdays with 7.52 cr nett on Tuesday, 6.60 cr nett on Wednesday and 5.50 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 94.13 cr nett in 1st week. Film collected 4.07 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was big drop despite poor show of new releases. Film jumped big on 2nd Saturday with 5.20 cr nett followed by 5.90 cr nett on Sunday. Film collected 15.17 cr nett in 2nd week and it should add 25 cr nett in 2nd week.
Film has total of 109.30 cr nett in 10-days. Even a regular drop from here on weekdays will mean 118-120 cr nett lifetime. Film also added 3.3 million $ (21.96 cr) over 1st weekend in overseas which is spectacular. Looks like a mammoth hit!
