SATYAMEVA JAYATE Continues To Hold It's Fort Strong At Box Office
Satyameva Jayate depicts the story about something that's happening for years now - corruption. A man who turns vigilante decides to eliminate the corruption from the police department. Virendra Kumar Singh aka Vir (John Abraham) takes up a mission facing a renegade cop DCP Shivansh (Manoj Bajpayee) and what happens after is what the story is about.
Mumbai police department has over 2 lakh policemen & not all are honest. In a merciless killing spree, 4 of them get burnt alive and the entire police force gets terrified. Virendra Kumar Singh aka Vir is a vigilante on the mission and faces DCP Shivansh over the case of these ruthless killings. The story explores & brings into limelight the heavy amount of corruption occurring in this department.
Satyameva Jayate had a rocking day 1 at the box office by collecting 20.52 cr at the box office. On its 1st Thursday, the movie collected 9.92 cr and hence the collection of the movie now becomes 28.44 cr. Satyameva Jayate packs a strong opening weekend at the box office. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday collection of the movie was 9.18 cr, 9.03 cr and 10.26 cr respectively. Thus, the total collection of the movie now becomes 56.91 cr.
