MATRU KI BIJLEE KA MANDOLA Finishes Average Weekend
MKBKM had a wide release across 1900 screens and film had high decibel marketing campaign. Except few negative reviews, critics gave it thumbs up. But all this fail to translate in numbers and that reflects in strictly average business of the film.
Film collected somewhat better numbers on Saturday than poor Friday. Film collected 6.75 cr nett on Saturday which was slightly better than Friday. Film will fall badly from Monday onwards in mass centers and even multiplex will struggle.
Film is just riding on Mumbai and Delhi multiplexes which can not take film far. As per early estimates, film collected 7.50 cr nett on Sunday which is again only 10% growth over Saturday. Film has collected 21 cr nett plus in 3 days plus preview shows.
Film should finish week one with 30-32 cr nett. But lifetime collections will be not that great. Film failed to beat Imran Khan's earlier release "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan". That is a bad indication in today's time when a bigger release and bigger promotion always guarantee bigger figures.
Below are the collections for the film -
