DUM LAGA KE HAISHA Jumps Big On Day Two
After disastrous beginning of 2015 with flops finally Varun Dhawan starrer ''Badlapur'' seems to have worked at box office. This week saw release of low budget non fancy film ''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'' from YRF.
''''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'''' is a limited release in 789 screens as makers YRF are confident that film will grow with word of mouth. Film is releasing after Ayushmann Khurrana has given some big duds in ''''Hawaizaada'''' and ''Bewakoofiyan''. Its a now or never kind of moment for him.
Film took a poor start all over due to no big promotions and no big star cast. Film got glowing reviews and word of mouth is on positive side. Film was looking to finish around 1 cr nett but late night surge meant that film will collect 1.11 cr nett on its opening day which is still a below par number.
Ideally film need jump of 100% on day two and despite cricket match film had jump of 80-90% which was due to exceptional word of mouth. Film collected 2.09 cr nett on day two and that means total of 3.20 cr nett. Now film can achieve 6 cr nett weekend which gives film chance of recovery and it can have good run at box office for weeks to come as there is no big release for few weeks.
