STREE Maintans Its Pace
The story of Stree revolves around a woman who knows her target bytheir names and kills them leaving their clothes behind. Stree’s targets areonly men and so the tagline of the movie says, Mard Ko Dard Hoga. Nobody in thevillage knows that why she kills men and thus everybody’s wall is painted withO Stree, Kal Aana (Oh Woman, Come Tomorrow). Stree promises power packedperformances by Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Shraddha Kapoor.
This weekend, Stree clashed with another film Yamla Pagla DeewanaPhir Se which is the third franchise of the same name. It stars the Deol clan,Dharmendra, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol in the lead with surprise cameos. By thelooks of the trailer, YPD Phir Se won’t prove as a major threat to Stree.
Stree surpasses the expectations and estimations and posts asuperb number on its day 1 i.e., 6.82 cr. On its 1st Saturday, the moviecatches the speed and made it to 10.87 cr. Stree has become the talk of thetown and the collection of its 1st Sunday goes up and collected 13.57 cr. Themovie is not going slow so soon. The 1st Monday collection of the movie is outof the expectations i.e., 9.70 cr. The total collection of the movie till nowis 41.97 cr.
Stree is in no mood to slow down at the box office. It remainsrock-solid on its 1st Tuesday by collecting 6.37 cr. The 1st Wednesday andThursday collection of the movie was 6.55 cr and 5.50 cr. respectively. Now,the total collection of the movie becomes 60.39 cr.
Rajkummar Rao once again proved that he is the most bankable actorof this generation. On its second weekend, this horror-comedy flick grossed21.90 cr, over the time period of 3 days. The day-wise collections of the filmwere: Friday, 4.39 cr, Saturday, 7.63 cr and Sunday, 9.88 cr. Hence, the totalcame to 82.29 cr.
Maintaining its everyday pace, Stree holds its position strongeven on second Monday. The film earned 3.31 cr. yesterday.
