HAMARI ADHURI KAHANI Drops Heavily On 2nd Friday
Emraan Hashmi is going through worst phase of his career with strings of flops behind him i.e. ''Ghanchakkar'', ''Mr X'', ''Raja Natwarlal'', ''Shanghai''. Vidya Balan too had bad times at box office in recent past and now its upto Mohit Suri, who gave hits like ''Aashiqui 2'' and ''Ek Villain'', to revive career of both the actors with ''Hamari Adhuri Kahani''.
HAK released in 2000 screens today and film is targeted at masses. Film took a low start in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune but was bit better in territories like Rajasthan, CP and CI. Film had poor opening of 25% across the board and it seems like despite the jump from evening onwards, it will struggle to post a decent day one total.
Film collected close to 5.04 cr nett on day one which was poor total. Film has not got good reviews so any chance of big growth over weekend looked bleak. Film collected even poorer numbers on Saturday and had almost similar numbers of 5.15 cr nett with no growth which is pathetic. Film remained flat over weekend and collected 6.30 cr nett on Sunday with little growth coming from CI and Gujarat. Film dropped further on Monday after unimpressive weekend and collected 3.03 cr nett followed by 2.95 cr nett on Tuesday and 2.57 cr nett on Wednesday and 2.08 cr nett on Thursday.
Film dropped heavily on 2nd Friday by 85% from 1st Friday and collected 87 lakhs nett only. Film has total of 27.99 cr nett in eight days and it will struggle to cross 35 cr nett lifetime total which had been the case with few other Emraan Hashmi starrers in last two years. This is one more big flop for Bhatts and Fox Star.
