SULTAN Will Cross 200 Cr Nett In Record Seven Days, All Time Record
Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ opened in close to 4352 screens in India and 1100 screens overseas. Film has everything going for it, from release on Eid to massy dialogues to top star cast. And it lived upto all hype!
Film opened to almost 70% opening and it seems that it was going to run to capacity throughout the day. This was clear sign that film would challenge all time day one records for sure. But filmwas slower from afternoon onwards as Eid affected the collections in certain parts of country. Film collected 36.54 cr nett on day one. Film was 3rd behind 44.97 cr nett day one record of ‘Happy New Year’ and 41.75 cr nett of PRDP.
Film collected 3.04 million $ (20.5 cr) on day one in overseas which is fantastic considering mid-week release. Film collected highest ever opening day number in Pakistan (2.2 cr, 3.45 crPKR) and Gulf (1.4 million $). Film took outstanding start and it collected 37.32 cr nettas single screens were lot better than day one. Film was superb across the board on Friday too with tremendous trend. Film collected 31.67 cr nett which was awesome. Film reached new heights as it crossed 30 cr nett mark consecutively 4th day. Film collected 36.62 cr netton Saturday.
Film was super strong and collected 38.21 cr nett and thus added 30 cr plus on all five days, an unimaginable feat. Film was solid on Monday with just 50% drop from 1st day despite reduced ticket price. Film collected 16.30 cr nett on Monday.
Film has six day total of 196.66 cr nett and it will cross 200 cr nett today. Film will cross 210 cr nett in 7 days and 235 cr nett in 9 day extended 1st week. Film crossed 250 cr domestic gross in five days and 330 cr worldwide gross. Film collected 13.7 million $ (91.93 cr) over 5 day extended weekend. Huge worldwide blockbuster!
