SUI DHAAGA Stays Steady
After a bit of decent opening day, the Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer picked up on the second and third day.
Sui Dhaaga is about the ordinary pair of Mamta (Anushka Sharma) and Mauji (Varun Dhawan) is destined to do something extraordinary. Just right after their marriage, Mauji decides to something for their living and that’s when Mamta suggests him to become a tailor. Aspiring many people to do the same, Mauji and Mamta face many hardships but how will they immerge victorious in the end is what the story is all about.
The box office figures of Sui Dhaaga showed a healthy growth on Saturday and witnessed more growth on Sunday. The collections of the movie were as such: Friday, 8.30 cr, Saturday 12.25 cr and yesterday i.e Sunday it earned 16.05 cr. Hence the total came up to 36.60 cr.
Taking full advantage of a national holiday, Sui Dhaaga collects 7 cr on its 1st Monday and 11.75 cr on it 1st Tuesday. The movie faces a decline on its 1st Wednesday and manages to earn 3.80 cr at the box office. The total collection of the movie now becomes 59.15 cr.
On Thursday, the film collected 3.35 cr. On its 2nd weekend, Sui Dhaaga maintained a steady pace at the box office and collected 1.75 cr, 3.10 cr and 4.35 cr on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The 2nd Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday collection of the movie was 1.25 cr, 1.05 cr, 95 lakhs and 85 lakhs. Entering the 3rd week, the movie did not do very well but maintained a steady pace by earning 30 lakhs, 60 lakhs and 80 lakhs respectively. The total collection of the movie now becomes 77.50 cr.
