BADLAPUR Crosses 50 Cr Nett In Two Weeks
After disastrous beginning of 2015 with flops finally Varun Dhawan starrer ''Badlapur'' seems to work at box office. After rather good week now film has posted a strong 2nd week that too despite adult tag and lean period.
''Badlapur'' opened to low occupancies of 15% in areas like Gujarat, UP and Bihar but film was better in Rajasthan, Mumbai and Delhi with 35% occupancies. Overall opening was around 25% and 28% which was good for mid budget film. Film collected 7 cr nett on Friday, 23 cr nett over weekend and 36 cr nett plus in week one.
Film did very well on 2nd Friday and dropped by only 65% from 1st Friday. Film held well in Rajasthan, Mumbai and Mysore. Film should collect close to 6 cr nett over 2nd weekend. Film collected 9 cr nett in 2nd week which was good and drop of 75% from week one.
Film collected 0.80 cr nett on 3rd Friday and Saturday each followed by 90 lakhs nett on Sunday. Film dropped only marginally and collected 2.50 nett over 2nd weekend followed by 1.66 cr nett on weekdays in 3rd week.
Film has total of 50 cr nett and as of now, it looks certain to cross 51 cr nett lifetime which will be an ideal result considering limited cost of 25 cr. Film will cross 13 cr lifetime number in overseas market which is a fair result. Finally a clean hit!
