BAJIRAO MASTANI Had Good 3rd Friday
Much awaited clash is finally here and ''Bajirao Mastani'' has released in middle of noise, anticipation and a bit of uncertainty regarding screen size and advance. Film has big cast, interesting promo and huge scale.
Film released in 3050 screens all over India. Film collected 12.80 cr nett cr nett on Friday which is not great or bad figure its just average. Film got good reviews and that translated into the numbers on Saturday. Film collected 15.52 cr nett on Saturday with 20% growth. Film again grew by 12% and collected 18.45 cr nett on Sunday. Film was rock solid on Monday and collected 10.25 cr nett with 20% drop from Friday followed by 5% drop further drop On Tuesday and collection of 9.40 cr nett.
Film added 9.21 cr nett on Wednesday with minimal drop followed by 10.52 cr nett on Thursday with advantage of Eid and Christmas festivities. After 86 cr nett plus in week one, film was expected to perform good on 2nd Friday going by the trends on weekdays and that is what happened. Film collected 12.25 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was Christmas holiday and jump of 20% over Thursday. Film dropped a bit after holiday and collected 10.30 cr nett on Saturday. Film collected 11.75 cr nett on Sunday.
Film collected 34.30 cr nett in 2nd weekend. Film collected 5.60 cr nett on 2nd Monday which was very good followed by 5.40 cr nett on Tuesday, 5.05 cr nett on Wednesday and 5.35 cr nett on Thursday. Film crossed 55.75 cr nett in 2nd week which was only drop of 35%. This is 2nd best 2nd week of 2015 after ''Bajrangi Bhaijaan'' and 5th best 2nd week of all time. Film collected very good 7.50 cr nett on 3rd Friday.
Film has weekend total of 46.77 cr nett, week one total of 86.15 cr nett and 149.35 cr nett after 15 days.. Film was average over weekend but super solid weekdays have taken it to another level as word of mouth translated in numbers. Film did well in overseas despite competition from ''Star Wars'' and ''Dilwale''. Film was released in over 800 screens overseas but managed 29 cr (4.5 million $) over weekend, 44 cr (6.5 million) $ after week one and 68 cr (10 million $) after 10 days total there, almost 60% of ''Dilwale''.
