STREE Is Truly Unstoppable
The story of Stree revolves around a woman who knows her target by their names and kills them leaving their clothes behind. Stree’s targets are only men and so the tagline of the movie says, Mard Ko Dard Hoga. Nobody in the village knows that why she kills men and thus everybody’s wall is painted with O Stree, Kal Aana (Oh Woman, Come Tomorrow). Stree promises power packed performances by Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Shraddha Kapoor.
This weekend, Stree clashed with another film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se which is the third franchise of the same name. It stars the Deol clan, Dharmendra, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol in the lead with surprise cameos. By the looks of the trailer, YPD Phir Se won’t prove as a major threat to Stree.
Stree surpasses the expectations and estimations and posts a superb number on its day 1 i.e., 6.82 cr. On its 1st Saturday, the movie catches the speed and made it to 10.87 cr. Stree has become the talk of the town and the collection of its 1st Sunday goes up and collected 13.57 cr. The movie is not going slow so soon. The 1st Monday collection of the movie is out of the expectations i.e., 9.70 cr. The total collection of the movie till now is 41.97 cr.
Stree is in no mood to slow down at the box office. It remains rock-solid on its 1st Tuesday by collecting 6.37 cr. The 1st Wednesday and Thursday collection of the movie was 6.55 cr and 5.50 cr. respectively. Now, the total collection of the movie becomes 60.39 cr.
Rajkummar Rao once again proved that he is the most bankable actor of this generation. On its second weekend, this horror-comedy flick grossed21.90 cr, over the time period of 3 days. The day-wise collections of the film were: Friday, 4.39 cr, Saturday, 7.63 cr and Sunday, 9.88 cr. Hence, the total came to 82.29 cr.
Maintaining its everyday pace, Stree holds its position strong even on second Monday. The film earned 3.31 cr. yesterday. On Tuesday, Stree collected 3.22 cr. The movie is in no mood to stop attracting audiences, the 2nd Wednesday and Thursday collection of the movie was 2.95 cr and 3.76 cr respectively.
The third weekend comes with a 100 cr mark for Stree. On its third Friday, Saturday and Sunday the movie collects 2.14 cr, 3.76 cr and 4.75 cr. Showing a solid hold on its 3rd Monday, the movie collects 1.87 cr and on its 3 rd Tuesday the movie collected 1.60 cr. The total sum of the movie now becomes 109.65 cr. Even on its 3rd Wednesday, the movie managed to earn 1.42 cr which makes the total 111.07 cr. Stree is still on a super strong side by collecting 1.60 cr on its 3rd Thursday at the box office.
Even after the release of three big movies, Manmarziyaan, Manto and Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Stree did not lose its charm at the box office. The 4th weekend box office collection of the movie is as such, Friday: 1.51 cr, Saturday: 2.05 cr and Sunday: 2.86 cr. Even on its weekdays the movie did not stop attracting the audience and collected 97 lakhs, 87 lakhs, 87 lakhs and 86 lakhs on its 4th Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The weekend collection of the movie were pretty decent too. The movie collected 52 lakhs, 88 lakhs and 1.51 cr on its 5th Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Stree is still unstoppable at the box office and collected 61 lakhs and 1.24 cr on its 5th Monday and Tuesday which now makes the total of the movie 127.42 cr.
