GABBAR IS BACK To Kick-start Lucrative Period For Bollywood
Bollywood films have disappointed and no big films made impact in last 6 months except ''PK''. This year not a single mainstream masala Bollywood film worked and to make situation worse Hollywood biggies ''Fast & Furious 7'' and ''Avengers Age Of Ultron'' over-performed. Now flow of big Bollywood release starts tomorrow with Akshay Kumar starrer ''Gabbar Is Back''.
''Gabbar Is Back'' will open to double digit day one number as promos look quite single screen friendly and it seems to have balance of content and entertainment which might appeal to multiplex audience too. After this we will have ''Piku'', ''Tanu Weds Manu'' sequel, ''Dil Dhadakane Do'', ''ABCD 2'' and ''Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani'' followed by Salman Khan''s mighty release ''Bajrangi Bhaijaan''.
Though on one hand, few industry experts believed that most of these films will struggle and Bollywood struggled due to bad content in last few months. But it was more due to Cricket world cup, few bad hardcore films i.e. ''Tevar'', ''Kill Dil'' and ''Action Jackson'' and not a single big sure shot kind of film from any big or medium star.
Though pessimistic will think that it will be tough times ahead at box office but we believe that audience will be back to cinemas starting from tomorrow and bad budgeting might affect films'' final tag but overall there is good times ahead for Bollywood for sure in months to come. And yes dark horses are ''Hamari Adhuri Kahaani'', ''Dil Dhadakane Do'' and ''ABCD 2'' - these can really over-perform.
