R Balki's ‘Shamitabh’ starring  Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan, and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ are all set to clash at the box-office. Both the movies are slated to release on 6th Feb.

Not many know that Abhishek Dogra, director of ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, was an assistant to Balki for the film ‘Paa’ which also starred Amitabh Bachchan.

Talking about the clash with his assistant, Balki said,"Come on, this is not a cricket match that you are talking of a clash between Dogra and me. In fact, I am proud and happy that he is making his debut as a director."

Talking about the same, Abhishek said, "The two films belong to completely different genres and so the target audience will not be the same. Moreover, I had nothing to do with the release date of my film, a rom-com. It was decided by my producer Arbaaz Khan."

Abhishek further added that Balki has even messaged wishing him luck.

Abhishek said, "He texted me saying: `May your film rock this year. All my love and support for you'. That just goes shows what a great person he is."
