While it is getting appreciated by a ‘selective' section of the audience, the overall response isn’t that encouraging. Earlier, it was being said that the makers are planning for a second installment. But now, the way the film has been received, the plan for sequel has been dropped. A source said, “Anurag Basu had written the film as an ongoing series — the adventures of Jagga Jasoos - just like Satyajit Ray filmed the adventures of ‘Feluda’. But making ‘Jagga Jasoos’ was not easy. It has been an exhausting experience. And audiences’ response is not encouraging enough.
