With superhit songs like ‘Ishq wala love’and ‘Disco deewane’ in their last movie together, Karan Johar is doing all he can to ensure that this Varun-Alia starrer makes it big in the music charts as well. The Pakistani number, titled ‘Main tenu samjhawan ki’, was originally sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, but will be reworked upon by Arijit Singh, who made a name for himself with songs like ‘Tumhi ho’, ‘Phir le aaya dil’ and the more recent ‘Muskurane ki wajah tum ho’. A source from Dharma productions said, “Karan has closely monitored the music of the film. He sat through almost every recording. ‘Main tenu samjhawan ki’ is a soulful romantic song and comes at a very crucial point in the film. In fact, Karan has also been instrumental in the styling of the song.” “Karan was extremely pleased by his work in the ‘Mast magan’ song from ‘2 States’ and felt he would be the right choice,”the source continued. | |||
