Watch it for perfect political drama in election year

Detailed Analysis:

Election fever is gripping the country and Bollywood is ready with few interesting offerings in next 45 days. Jackky Bhagnani kicks off the season with his latest offering which is sadly last outing of legendary actor Farooque Sheikh.

Film tells a story of youngster Abhimanyu Kual (Jackky Bhagnani) who is having ball as game developer in Japan with his girlfriend Anvi (Neha Sharma) and his friend (Kayoze Irani). One night he gets a call that his father, PM of India, Dashrath Kaul (Boman Irani) is on death bed. Abhimanyu follows last wish of his father and becomes Prime Minister of India. Core group of ruling party thinks that they can manipulate a 28 year old guy as PM easily than an experience head. But this decision sends Abhomanyu's love life in tizzy and from here starts a balancing act between his love life and public life. How he ends up changing face of politics in middle of political battle and emotional turmoil forms the rest of the story.

Performance wise, film is embellished with some real power packed yet natural acts. Jackky Bhagnani arrives as actor and performer. He gets in skin of actor and rises above the script. Watch out for his speech in UN and climax! Neha Sharma another surprise package of the film as she delivers career best performance and one wonders that why no one gave her author backed role. She is natural and the energy of the film. Watch out for the shot when she asks for 'kulfi' in middle of night from her PM boyfriend! Late Farooque Sheikh talks through his eyes and amazing in his last film as Akbar Patel, Personal Assistant to PM. Makers pay him homage through 1 minute special footage dedicated to such accomplished actor. Boman Irani is stellar in brief appearance. Other supporting cast holds the proceedings.

Music of the film is another silver lining and 'Suno Na Sange Marmar' and 'Dataa Ki Deewani' are melodious. 'Tanki' and title track are apt. Background score is good but editing is uneven. Film is 10 minutes too long especially in beginning as it takes time to get to the point. Costumes by Leepakshi suit the theme and camerawork captures the settings. 

But it is debutant director Syed Ahmad Afzal who excels as he keeps the proceedings entertaining and keeps the right balance between political drama and love story. Though as writer he fumbles at places especially in 2nd half when film lacks in dialogue department. 

Film will release day after tomorrow and should get 800-1000 screens. Film will be affected by clash factor but content should take it over finish line at box office. It should take decent opening and good word of mouth should push it form there.
