Tuesday, 1st Sept 2015, 11:47 AM IST Music Composers: Meet Bros Anjjan, Anu Malik, Abhishek Ray, Mika Singh, Siddhant Madhav, Yo Yo Honey Singh Lyricists: Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir After the successful venture ‘Welcome’ (2007), producer Firoz Nadiadwallah and director Anees Bazmee are back with the sequel of the film titled ‘Welcome Back’. The movie stars John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. The music of the film is out, so let’s see what’s in store for us. The first song in the album is ‘Tutti Bole Wedding Di’. It’s a perfect wedding number with foot-tapping beats. The song will surely make you shake a leg while you are listening to it. Meet Bros Anjjan come up with something different from what they have done in past. They have sung the track very well and Shipra Goyal supports them fantastically. Ratings: 3.5/5 Next comes in '20-20', a typical item number. It’s a nice track, but fails to offer something new when it comes to item numbers. It has same kind of beats, some naughty lyrics and yes, Mamta Sharma’s coarse voice. Anu Malik and Shadab Faridi have also sung the track, and believe us, the former’s voice irritates us at its best. Rating: 2/5 We all still remember the title track of ‘Welcome’, but the title track of the sequel is surely the one you would prefer forgetting. Titled as ‘Welcome Back (Title Track)’, the track is strictly okay and fails to impress us. It’s not a bad number, but the music could have been catchy. Even Mika’s voice fails to save the song. Ratings: 2/5 Moving forward comes one more boring track titled ‘Meet Me Daily Baby’. The song is very clichéd and bores us. Siddhant Madhav has tried to make this number a contemporary romantic one with a touch of naughtiness in it, but he fails miserably. Madhav and Pawni Pandey’s voices are strictly okay in the track. Ratings: 1.5/5 The next song in the album is ‘Time Lagaye Kaiko’. We wonder what Anu Malik was thinking while composing this track. It has nothing new and has touch of 90s in it, but he fails to take us back in the era. And the worst part of the song is John Abraham’s voice. He cannot sing. His voice will hurt your ears. Even Anmol Malik has sung the song badly. Just give this track a miss. The only good thing about the song is lyrics. It’s a bit better that the other elements in the song. Ratings: 0.5/5 ‘Nas Nas Mein’, the next track in the album is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan. And it is shocking that after the track ‘Tutti Bole Wedding Di’, they offer us this – an irritating number with exceptionally horrible lyrics. Meet Bros Anjjan, Shabab Sabri and Rani Hazarika’s vocals fail to save the number. Ratings: 1/5 And finally, the last song in the album, ‘Damaa Dam Mast Kalandar’. It’s the traditional number which we have been hearing since many years. The song has been given a new touch and that’s nice. Finally after so many horrible numbers we have a better track. Mika Singh and Yo Yo Honey Singh successfully end the album with something really good. Ratings: 3.5/5 On the whole, except two tracks, the songs of ‘Welcome Back’ are pathetic.
