Wednesday, 22nd January 10:00 AM IST After smashing all previous with each of his last three Christmas releases, Aamir Khan has locked the Christmas 2014 weekend for his next film directed by Rajkumar Hirani – the director of classics like 'Munnabhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and '3 Idiots'. Sources say the film could release on 19th December 2014, allowing the film to take advantage of the extended Christmas – New Year holiday season. Aamir made the announcement on Twitter, without announcing a final date “Hey guys, PK release date is finally locked…. this Christmas…. my lucky date!!! Jai Ho!!!” Soon after the announcement, there are murmurs within the industry that Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, could be postponed to a later date. There are also reports that Yash Raj Films’ is targeting a December release for Manish Sharma’s Fan starring Shahrukh Khan. It’ll be interesting to see if any film would go on to clash with PK and Aamir Khan during Christmas. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK also stars Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput and Boman Irani. | |||
