Varun Dhawan Was Instructed By Director Shoojit To Not Sleep For A Week During The Shoot Of OCTOBER

Friday, 9th March 2018, 3:15 PM IST When Varun Dhawan met Sriram Raghavan for Badlapur, we saw how he just got into the skin of Raghu and how difficult it became for him to get out of him. He had been asked something similar by Shoojit Sircar for their next film ‘October’. Shoojit has always maintained a decorum with his actors, so one should relate to their traits. Varun Dhawan was asked to not sleep for an entire week because he had to look in a certain way for his character. To eliminate the ultra-stylish avatar of Varun from our heads, Shoojit had asked him to stay as natural as possible. Sans any makeup, Varun was seen performing in the most authentic way in these 'sleepless' scenes. Having just an hour or two of sleep every day for a week was the challenge given by the director to Varun. As a sincere student he has always been, Varun just followed it and what came on screen blew everyone's mind. These scenes required Varun to express his emotions in an aggressive manner and therefore Shoojit asked him to not get any sleep a night prior such scenes. The makers released a musical teaser recently and are all set to release the trailer early next week. ‘October’ launches a fresh face in Banita Sandhu opposite Varun Dhawan. It has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. It's slated to release on 13th April 2018.
