Tuesday, 8th Sept 2015, 12:05 PM IST Music Composers: Amaal Mallik, Meet Bros Anjjan, Sachin-Jigar, Jassi Katyal Lyricists: Kumaar, Niranjan Iyengar We still remember the film ‘Hero’ which released in 1983 and starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri. The movie was directed by Subhash Ghai. And now, Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai have teamed up for the remake of the film with the same name featuring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani and will be releasing this Friday (11th Sept). The music of the film is out, so let’s see what’s in store for us. The album starts with the romantic track ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’. It’s a beautiful number with soulful music which is wonderfully composed by Amaal Mallik. This will surely connect with your hearts. Above all, the track has the voice of Salman Khan. The superstar has sung the number brilliantly. And believe us while listening to the track you will feel that Salman’s voice is just perfect for the number and no singer could have justice to it. There is another version of the song sung by Armaan Malik, but unfortunately it fails to impress us the way Salman’s version does. Ratings: 4/5 Next comes in a heart-wrenching number named ‘Yadaan Teriyaan’. The music of the track is given by Jassi Katyal and lyrics are written by Kumaar. Jassi and Kumaar jointly come up with a track which will surely make your eyes teary. The music and the lyrics directly touch our hearts and make us emotional. People who have lost their love will surely relate to this number. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice is effective in the number and successfully makes us feel the pain. There is another version of this number sung by Dev Negi and Shipra Goyal which is equally superb. Ratings: 4.5/5 After a romantic number and a heart-wrenching track, finally we have a foot-tapping lively number titled ‘Dance Ke Legend’. It’s a good number with high-on energy and funky beats. Meet Bros Anjjan have done a fantastic job with the music. It is very contemporary and will surely be a track which will be heard at parties. Meet Bros and Bhoomi Trivedi’s vocals suit the track. Ratings: 3.5/5 Next song in the album is ‘Khoya Khoya’, once again a romantic number. Composed by Sachin-Jigar the track has a sweet calmness in it which impresses us a lot. The tempo of the music is a bit high, but just perfect for a sweet romantic number. Niranjan Iyengar’s lyrics are fantastic. Vocals of Mohit Chauhan, Priya Panchal, Arpita Chakraborty and Tanishka Sanghvi surely take the track to a higher level. This number can surely contend to be the romantic anthem of the year. Ratings: 4/5 Moving forward comes in ‘O Khuda’, a soulful number. It is a heart-breaking track. The music of the track is composed by Amaal Mallik and he has done a good job. However, here the hero is the lyrics which are mind-blowing. Hats off to Kumaar for coming up with such meaningful romantic verses! Amaal Mallik and Palak Muchhal have sung the track amazingly and their voices are surely one the best elements of the song. Ratings: 3.5/5 And the last song in the album is ‘Jab We Met’. It’s a sweet track with a chhed-chhaad in it. What impresses us here is that though the song is on the lines of being a romantic number, the beats are funky and lively. There is also a desi touch in the track which gels well with the contemporary music. Voices of Benny Dayal, Shalmali Kholgade, Divya Kumar and Jigar Saraiya are nice in the track. We can say that it is naughty lovable number which entertains us. Ratings: 4/5 On the whole, ‘Hero’ has the best romantic album of recent times. Ratings: 4/5 Music Review By –
