Thursday, 1st Oct 2015, 5:42 PM IST Karan Johar has bought the rights to remake the popular Hollywood flick ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ and he had announced that Homi Adajania will be directing the same. However, the recent buzz is that director Mohit Suri will be replacing Homi. “The film is at the scripting stage and it seems both the makers and Homi were not on the same page. So, they have decided to part ways. We have been thinking of signing up Mohit since he has worked with us in the past and he has liked the concept too,” revealed a source. It is also expected that this recent change will lead to the selection of a different star cast as well. “There has been much speculation around the lead roles. So far, the makers had zeroed in on Deepika while the hunt for an actor was still on. Initially, Varun Dhawan was supposed to be signed on, but he had some date issues. Later, Sushant Singh Rajput's name was discussed. But it looks like the project will eventually see an all-round overhaul before it goes on floors,” a source close to the project mentioned. None of the directors or the makers was available for any comment.
