Wednesday, 20th Jan 2016, 1:01 PM IST Music Composer: Santhosh Narayanan Lyricist: Swanand Kirkire Rajkumar Hirani’s production venture ‘Saala Khadoos’ starring R Madhavan and Ritika Singh is all set to hit the screens on 29th Jan. The movie is a sports drama and the music of the film is out now. So, let’s see what’s there in store for us. The album starts with the title track ‘Saala Khadoos’. It’s a number which explains the character of Madhavan. The beats in the track are hard-hitting and Vishal Dadlani is a perfect choice for the track. He has sung it amazingly. Ratings: 3/5 Next comes in ‘Jhalli Patakha’, a full-on South Indian number with quite catchy music. This track explains the character of Ritika wonderfully thanks to its impressive lyrics. Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice is excellent in the track and she gets the perfect massy feel in the number. Ratings: 3.5/5 Moving forward comes in the song ‘Dil Ye Ladaku’. It’s a soulful romantic number, but not a regular romantic track. There’s a different touch in the music and lyrics. Monali Thakur’s voice is mesmerizing in the track. Ratings: 3.5/5 After the romantic track, the next number is a hard-hitting track titled ‘Jagaa Khunnas’. With the rock music beats, this one too impresses us. Vishal Dadlani and Vijaynarain have sung the song excellently. While this track is really good, it fails to reach the level of previous tracks. Ratings: 3/5 The last song in the album is ‘Dhuaan Hai Dhuaan Zindagi’. It’s a very simple number with impressive lyrics. There’s a sad feel in the song which is very well explained with the music and the lyrics. Kalyani Nair has sung the song well. Ratings: 3/5 Overall, music album of ‘Saala Khadoos’ is impressive with a variety of songs. Ratings: 3/5 Music Review By –
