After FITOOR’s Failure, The Blame Game Starts

Friday, 19th Feb 2016, 6:12 PM IST ‘Fitoor’ has proved to be a disaster at the box-office. And now, the blame game has begun. According to the grapevine, during the shooting of the film, director Abhishek Kapoor and his producers had “innumerable creative differences” over how the film should be shot and marketed. A source close to Abhishek said, “Gattu wanted to do a faithful adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ‘Great Expectations’. He never wanted to make his film solely about the love story between Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy’s characters, Noor and Firdaus. In his screenplay, the dramatic conflict is between Tabu and Kat’s characters.” “The plot moved away from being about the conflict between the mother and daughter (played by Tabu and Katrina) and became a Kat-Adi love story,” added the source.
