Saturday, 30th July 2016, 06:00 PM IST Irrfan Khan may be known for his versatility, but the actor reveals that B-town directors often don’t see him in dynamic roles and stick to roles of the kind he has been doing since his start in Bollywood. At a recent interview, Irrfan said, “When you do a film, a role, you create an image and industry wants to use that image and give you similar parts. If you keep on doing it, you keep on pumping that image.” Irrfan also feels that artists like him need to do different roles so that they don’t feel caged. He said, “As I create an image, I feel caged when people start identifying me with that image. You do ‘Haasil’ and you get similar kind of roles. Then how do you break it? You do a love story, then some other movies.” When asked if this is because directors don’t offer him different roles, Irrfan said, “Oh yes. Because it’s easier for them. They don’t see me in different roles because it needs imagination. If they get ready stuff, they want to use it as it is.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’sfirst Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
