Tuesday, 11th Nov 2014, 3:33 PM IST Salman Khan starrer ‘Ready’ was a blockbuster at the box-office. However, after the release of the film the director of the movie, Anees Bazmee had filed a case of non-payment of dues against Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the film. And the case has gone in the favour of Anees, and now Bhushan has to pay Rs. 9 crore to Anees. Anees had filed the case as Bhushan failed to pay him his directorial fee, plus a percentage of the profit. Earlier Bhushan had said, "The film has earned Rs 120 crore. The deal was that we would pay Bazmee 30 percent of the profit after we recover all our money. We had to re-shoot two songs, which cost us an extra Rs 2 crore. Added to that, we spent Rs 20 crore in publicity." He had also said that he had paid Anees a signing amount of Rs. 5 crore four years back. Bhushan plans to apply in High Court. Bazmee’s advocate, M L Ranjit said, "Let Bhushan appeal. He has every right to do that. But my client is not a liar." Bhushan said, "We have a court hearing later this month. We will present our set of arguments in detail then." Talking about the issue Anees said, "Bhushan and I are cordial to each other. Whatever I have asked from him is my rightful money."
