Punjabi films are expanding their base with every passing week and so the business is growing manifolds. Now the number of big Punjabi releases has also gone up considerably. Finally a film has collected more than 1 cr on day one and "Jatt & Juliet 2" has broken opening day record with some distance.

"Jatt & Juliet" collected 77 lakhs sometime back but sequel broke this record with 50% improvement. Film collected 1.25 cr nett all India and even overseas was not bad with UK was exceptional where film challenged Emraan - Vidya starrer "Ghanchakkar". Every prime property was full to capacity in Chandigarh and for next two days film will run to packed capacity.
