Watch it if you are a Ranbir fan or love main stream typical Bollywood  cinema

Detailed Analysis:

Director Abhinav Kashyap started his career with big bang "Dabangg". He went ahead with real unorthodox choice, casting young star Ranbir Kapoor in his next. This is a litmus test for both the individuals as Abhinav has to prove himself without Khan power and Ranbir will try to emerge as darling of masses minus big leading lady.

Film is nothing but a entertaining ride throughout. Babli (Ranbir Kapoor) teals bike and lives in an orphanage. He also distribute money in orphanage itself. After hurting Tara (Pallavi Sharda) he realizes that there is no right way to do the wrong thing but before he mends his way, two policemen - Inspector Chulbul Chautala (Rishi Kapoor) and Constable Bulbul Chutala (Neetu Kapoor) start chasing Babli. Things get further complicated with introduction of big baddie Javed Jaffery. Climax is ultimate mix of comedy, dialogues and action!

Performance wise this is Ranbir's most different performance as an actor where he romances less and displays his stardom with full throttle. His punchy dialogues and cheeky histrionics will leave audience in splits. Pallavi never looks quite the part and she is at best below average. Even her dialogue delivery is bit weird. Rishi Kapoor continues his dream run with another amazing performance where he simply looks to have fun and so do we. Watch out when he breaks into the dance on Ranbir's song. Neetu Kapoor is good and shows her chirpy side and her chemistry with junior Kapoor is scintillating. Javed is good and other supporting cast including Aditya Aggarwal, Kunal Aggarwal and Kamal Kiri.

Songs are big let down and that is rare for Ranbir starrer. Songs are not only straight from 90's but too many in number. Except "Aa Re" and "Hand Utha Ke Nache" all song work as loo break. Editing by Pranav Dhiwar is decent and cinematography by Madhu Vannier is beautiful. Writing by Abhinav and Rajeev Barnwal is full of entertaining dialogues and meant for masses. But it is director Abhinav Kashyap who again proves his worth with crisp writing and high entertainment value. But his casting decision with Ranbir does not go down that well and few sections of audience will feel same. Also this time he disappoints on front of music too.

Overall film should take a bumper start at box office due to 5 day weekend including National holiday but will depend on word of mouth from Thursday and especially from Monday onwards. Film will get benefit of almost zilch competition and might get big numbers in 14 days before next biggie arrives, even with not so strong word of mouth!

Go for this one if you love Kapoor trio or high dose of typical Bollywood masala entertainment!
