Friday, 4th July 01:30 PM IST PUNJAB 1984 Scores Big Numbers Over Week One ''Punjab 1984'' was expected to take big start at box office but not many gave it such big chance at box office. Film has broken long standing record of highest opening day of ''Jatt & Juliet'' and that too when film had fair amount of competition from Bollywood and Hollywood films. Film was simply humongous in Punjab and shows were full even in Delhi. Film collected 1.03 cr nett in East Punjab and 12 lakhs in rest of India. Film collected 1.15 cr nett on opening day which is only 2nd to ''Jatt & Juliet''. Film collected 1.12 cr nett on Saturday and 1.50 cr nett on Sunday which was huge. Film collected 3.77 cr nett all India over weekend. Film added 3 cr nett on weekdays which was super solid. Film collected close to 6.10 cr nett in East Punjab and 65 lakhs in rest of India. Film witnessed almost minimal drops on weekdays which was very good. Film was also very big overseas and had big release over there. Film is easily the biggest opener out of Punjabi films. This film again highlights that there is no growth in Punjabi films at box office. Though film shows welcome sign that film without routine comedy song affairs can also score which is 1st of its kind in last 35 years but still total collections will not cross 10-11 cr nett lifetime. Film will be in same league as ''Jatt & Juliet'' and ''Carry On Jatta'' as these films too scored 10 cr nett lifetime. Below are the collection for the film -
