But even this year has started on sluggish note and not a single film has got clean hit status yet. 'Roy' scored at box office on its opening day as film collected 10 cr nett plus though it dropped badly later with rather average weekend of 28.68 cr nett. 'Baby' opened well and had very good weekend of 36 cr nett riding on good reviews. 'Badlapur' had rather good opening day at 7 cr nett and went on to collect 23.50 cr nett over weekend despite adversely affected by cricket But then came the biggest disappointment as 'Bombay Velvet' never took off at box office with poor numbers of 16.10 cr nett over weekend. Kangana Ranaut - Anand L Rai pair again struck gold And then released first big festive film of 2015, Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and it scored 102.60 cr nett weekend number which was by far highets in 2015 and only 3rd best ever. As expected Salman Khan continues to rule box office! Ajay Devgn starrer 'Drishyam' collected 30.03 cr nett over opening weekend which was 7th best in 2015. Akshay Kumar and Siddharth Malhotra starrer 'Brothers' notched up 52.08 cr nett over weekend, 2nd best of the year and that was good but not great considering Independence Day. Saif and Katrina starrer 'Phantom' collected good 33.18 cr nett over weekend which was 8th best in 2015. Film got benefit of Raksha Bandhan festival. Another biggie sequel sprung a surprise as 'Welcome Back' scored huge 51 cr nett over weekend which was 3rd best of 2015. 'Hero' collected 21.20 cr nett over weekend which was 15th best of year and 2nd best for a film starring debutantes. Imran - Kangana starrer 'Katti Batti' was big disappointment with poor 16.27 cr nett weekend which was 16th nest of the year. But the came another big surprise when Kapil Sharma made smashing debut with 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' which collected huge 28.81 cr nett over weekend. Akshay Kumar starrer 'Singh Is Bliing' scored good weekend of 54.44 cr nett due to big national holiday advantage which was 3rd best in 2015. 'Jazbaa' collected 15.24 cr nett over weekend which was 21st best in 2015. Comedy sequel 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' scored super solid weekend of 22.75 cr nett which was 16th best of the year. Shahid Kapoor - Alia Bhatt starrer 'Shaandaar' collected 27.40 cr nett in 3 days and 4 day weekend total was 33.51 cr nett which was pathetic. Latest Salman Khan's Diwali release PRDP collected 101.47 cr nett which was 2nd best ever for star and also 2nd best in 2015.
