There are few directors who make larger than life wholesome entertainer with decent dose of action, songs and drama. Yes Rohit Shetty is unarguably one of the best directors of our times. He is back with ''Dilwale'' starring Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.

Film is in news for its stellar cast and its clash with another biggie ''Bajirao Mastani'' starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. This clash makes it interesting as everything will boil down to content and entertainment value. Christmas release means that people are expecting entertaining film. Rohit Shetty stands for his brand of family entertainers and he always lived upto box office pressure.

Film will release in 2800 plus screens and that will ensure a good opening. Film has good music which might push it opening among masses. It has pan India appeal and that is why it should take huge opening. Film will open with decent numbers of around 20-22 cr nett and if it manages to get good reviews then good weekend of around 65-70 cr nett is guaranteed. Film will heavily depend on acceptance in mass centers as it is not a film which will depend on reviews and word of mouth.
