This year has marked arrival of Hollywood films in big way as ''The Jungle Book'' and ''Captain America'' did solid business and former broke the 175 cr nett barrier. Now 2nd installment of biggest Hollywood horror film in India has beaten couple of Bollywood films with some margin. ''The Conjuring 2'' was expected to open big and that is what happened. Film opened to close to 40% occupancy. Film crossed 5.25 cr nett on opening day. Film grew on Saturday and collected 6.90 cr nett. Film had huge Sunday and collected 7.60 cr nett. Film is super strong in metros and 1st weekend total of 19.75 cr nett. Film added 4.50 cr nett on Monday and 4.20 cr nett on Tuesday, 3.85 cr nett on Wednesday and 3.40 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 35.80 cr nett in 1st week. Film got huge competition from new releases but still it managed to collect 2.65 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was hardly 50% drop from 1st Friday. Film jumped on 2nd Saturday and collected 4.20 cr nett followed by 4.65 cr nett on Sunday. Film crossed 11.50 cr nett in 2nd weekend and that is outstanding. Film added 7.50 cr nett on weekdays in 2nd week with total of 17.98 cr nett in 2nd week. This was a good trend as film dropped by 53% only from 1st week despite competition. Film has 2-week total of 53.78 cr nett and it is bound to cross 58 cr nett lifetime. Film is a sure shot hit and now biggest horror brand in India for Hollywood. Another glory for Hollywood film!
