DIL DHADAKANE DO Had Fairly Good Day One
This year rustic and ''desi'' films like ''NH 10'', ''Badlapur'', ''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'', ''Piku'' and ''Tanu Weds Manu Returns'' worked big time at box office. Now ''Dil Dhadakane Do'' is the biggest urban release of 2015 and it has potential to cross 100 cr nett if content gets appreciation similar to ''Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara'', last Zoya Akhtar film.
DDD released in 2300 screens yesterday and film is targeted towards multiplex and urban markets. Film took a decent start in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune but was weak in territories like Rajasthan, CP and CI. Film was supposed to grow for sure from evening onwards but film remained just good on day one.
Film collected 10.53 cr nett on day one which was good but was little below expectations. Film should grow big on day two as today is most crucial day for the film. Urban film should grow in the region of 40% otherwise it will find difficult from here onwards for good lifetime total.
