ROY Had Fairly Good Day One
After disastrous beginning of 2015 with flops ''Tevar'' and ''Khamoshiyan'', below par to average ''Baby'', below average ''Dolly Ki Doli'', disastrous ''Hawaizaada'' and flop ''Shamitabh'', there is big hope from new release ''Roy'' especially due to presence of Ranbir Kapoor.
''Roy'' opened to very good occupancies today morning. It is by far the best opening of the year and metros look real solid. Mumbai is clsoe to 80% and multiplex chains like Cinepolis is 90%, PVR 80% and Fun is 75%. Film was hit by bad reviews in 2nd part of the day and film dipped a bit in few centers.
Film collected 36 lakhs nett in Rajasthan as per leading distributor Mr. Gaurav Gaur. As per early trends, film should target anything close to 9.20-9.50 cr nett day one as anything lower than that will be a disappointment. Tomorrow will be a test for the film and Valentines Day might push it despite bad reviews but then Sunday will suffer due to India - Pakistan match.
