KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON Sprung Biggest Surprise At Box Office Of The Year
This week has seen interesting mix of the film. Comedy star from small screen Kapil Sharma is making big screen debut with Abbas Mustan film ''Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon'' along with Madhur Bhandarkar''s reality drama ''Calendar Girls'' and another T Series fiasco ''Bhaag Johnny''.
KKKPK has decent pre release buzz thanks to Kapil Sharma and his following among masses. Film was expected to open well and that is what happened. Film has opened to 30-35% across the board, Kanpur was close to 35% and Jaipur is 40%. Film improved later in the day with benefit of holiday and as per early trends, anything close to 7.90 cr nett looks possible. This is biggest surprise of the year at box office.
''Calendar Girls'' is lagging behind with 15% opening and though it was better in places like Pune, Indore and Mysore due to director''s credibility. Film should get some growth in evening and anything close to 1.25-1.75 cr nett on day one will be fair result.
Other releases ''Bhaag Johnny'' and ''Time Out'' are in hope zone. Hollwyood releases ''The Intern'' will score in niche urban market.
