SARKAR 3 Poor, MERI PYARI BINDU Below Par, BAAHUBALI Still Dominates
After stupendous success of 'Baahubali' sequel now box office witnesses two new releases. Both new releases have not much pre release buzz and as expected 'Baahubali' sequel will continue to dominate.
'Sarkar 3' opened to very poor numbers around 8-10%. RGV stands for flop films so it was expected. Reviews are mixed so big growth looks unlikely but some sort of growth can give it some respectability at box office. Film will suffer due to big release size of 1450 screens in India and 400 plus overseas. As per early trends, anything above 2.5 cr nett looks difficult.
'Meri Pyari Bindu' has some kind of buzz though it opened to 18-20 % numbers. Film is smartly released by YRF with 750 screens in India which gives it a chance if it grows from evening onwards. It has potential to be a sleeper hit if reviews give it push. As per early trends it should cross 2.25-2.50 cr nett on day one.
Hollywood release 'Alien' is very poor barring few multiplexes. But it''s 'Baahubali' sequel which is certain to cross 7-9 cr nett on 3rd Friday which is mad and more than the total of all new releases.
