New Releases Continue To Struggle On Saturday
Pre Diwali period is golden time when all small films grab the opportunity to make big at box office. This week YRF''s ''Titli'', ''Main Aur Charles'', ''Guddu Ki Gun'' and few more small time Hindi and Hollywood films released.
''Titli'' has got exceptional reviews in festivals and today it has opened to great reviews. But as expected, film has opened to around 5% occupancy in limited release. It needed big turnaround from evening onwards for any faint chance at box office but due to too niche content it failed to cross even 40 lakhs nett on day one followed by 50 lakhs nett on day two. Film will collected 1.40 cr nett over weekend.
''Main Aur Charles'' is more mainstream but even then film has opened to 8% occupancy despite decent reviews. Film needed big jumps from there onwards but ultimately it collected 70 lakhs nett on day one followed by 65 lakhs nett on day two. Film will collect 2 cr nett over weekend which is extremely poor.
Out of other releases ''Guddu Ki Gun'' was doing better with 5% occupancy and it crossed 60 lakhs nett on day one followed by 55 lakhs nett on day two. Film will collect 1.75 cr nett over weekend. Hollywood films ''''Paranormal Activity 3'''', ''''Gossebumps'''' and ''''Burnt'''' were below par.
