DILWALE Crosses 148 Cr Nett In India After 4th Weekend
The biggest weekend arrived and much awaited clash took place at box office. 'Dilwale' and 'Bajirao Mastani' have created buzz before release. Both films have some USPs and both have very different type of treatment.
'Dilwale' has opened in approximate 3200 screens which is almost 35% less than 'PK' or PRDP. On top of that, yesterday was working day and there was no holiday edge. Still film opened to phenomenal response all over with 70% occupancy. Film was solid in East, North and South as expected.
Film collected 21 cr nett on day one which is equal to 30 cr plus if we take out clash factor. ''Dhoom 3'' had highest non holiday opening of 34 cr nett to see things in right perspective. Film lost 75 lakhs -1 cr business yesterday due to protest and external factors. Saturday was a crucial day for the film as it needed similar total as Friday but it went down a bit.
Film struggled in Mumbai, CP and CI due to competition and cancellation of shows due to protests. Film collected 20.09 cr nett on Saturday. Film grew well on Sunday and collected 24 cr nett with growth of 15% over Friday. Film dropped by 55% on Monday in comparison to Friday and collected 10.09 cr nett. Film added 9.42 cr nett on Tuesday with minimal drop followed by 8.79 cr nett on Wednesday and 9.26 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 102.69 cr nett in week one.
Film lost substantial number of screens to 'Star Wars' in 2nd week and that is why film remained flat on 2nd Friday. Film collected 8.11 cr nett which is less than Thursday number. Film added 6 cr nett on 2nd Saturday and 7.12 cr nett on 2nd Sunday. Film crossed 21.25 cr nett in 2nd weekend which is great but decent number. Film added 3.02 cr nett on 2nd Monday followed by 2.80 cr nett on Tuesday , 2.40 cr nett on Wednesday and 2.20 cr nett on Thursday.
Film collected 31.85 cr nett in 2nd week which was drop of 66% from week one and this was 4th best 2nd week in 2015. Film added 3.41 cr nett on 3rd Friday by taking advantage of holiday on new year followed by 1.90 cr nett on 3rd Saturday and 2.40 cr nett on 3rd Sunday. Film added 7.80 cr nett in 3rd weekend. Film collected 1.13 cr nett on 3rd Monday followed by 1.02 cr nett on Tuesday, 83 lakhs nett on Wednesday, 78 lakhs nett on Thursday and it has added 11.50 cr nett in 3rd week.
Film added 40 lakhs nett on 4th Friday followed by 45 lakhs nett on 4th Saturday and 50 lakhs nett on 4th Sunday as new releases have taken over. Film collected 1.35 cr nett over 4th weekend and it collected 2.04 cr nett in 4th week.
Film has weekend total of 65.09 cr nett, week one total of 102.65 cr nett and 28 day total of 147.38 cr nett. Film is heading for 149 cr nett lifetime. Film collected very good numbers overseas with UAE collecting 3 million dollar plus over weekend which is all time record followed by 6.3 million $ in 10 days there. Film collected 8.5 million $ (56.38 cr) over weekend in overseas followed by 13.50 million $ (90 cr) in week one and that is highest in 2015 and 2nd best of all time.
Film has crossed 111 cr (16.75 million $) after 2nd weekend and 22.50 million $ after 3rd weekend. Film collected 145 cr worldwide gross weekend, 225 gross in week one, 275 cr nett in 10 days and 335 cr in 17 days. Film crossed 25 million $ (168.58 cr) in overseas in 4th week, highest ever for SRK. Film has worldwide gross of 368 cr.
